Villa Verdict is an independent Aston Villa fan site and companion iOS app. The short version: there are no accounts, no ads, no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no sale or sharing of personal data. We collect the minimum needed to make the product work, described in full below.
The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It is served through Cloudflare, whose infrastructure processes standard request logs (IP address, user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse; see the Cloudflare privacy policy. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It reports totals only — page views, referrers, countries, browsers — and, per Cloudflare, sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not fingerprint or follow individual visitors between sites. We cannot identify you from it, and there is no advertising network involved.
Two parts of the site load live data as you read: the Live Wire headline ticker requests api.villaverdict.com, and the match-day score card requests our live-score service. Both are ours, both return public football data, and both see only what any web request shows — your IP address and browser — which is used to serve the response, not to profile you.
The app collects one piece of data: if you enable news alerts, your device's anonymous Apple push notification token is stored on our notification server so alerts can be delivered. This token:
The app collects nothing else. Browsing inside the app loads pages from villaverdict.com under the same terms as the website. Pages you view are cached on your device for offline reading; that cache never leaves your device. Notification preferences are stored on your device.
No data is sold, shared for advertising, or used for cross-app tracking. The app contains no third-party SDKs.
