First-team matchday squads in 2025-26, senior debut awaited. Jacob Tanswell reported in The Athletic's Transfer DealSheet on June 23rd that Kone will spend the whole of 2026-27 on loan at Ligue 2 side FC Annecy, alongside Kadan Young and Zepiqueno Redmond, through the V Sports multi-club partnership; V Sports hold a 30% stake in the French club, which has already taken Triston Rowe and Travis Patterson on loan. Consistent with that, he no longer appears on the Transfermarkt U21 squad list read in the August 3rd audit. He was a regular for the U21s last season, making 21 appearances and scoring twice.
