Villa will sell the 19-year-old right-back, but only on their own terms. Pete O'Rourke reported for Football Insider on the evening of August 11th that the club are open to offers in the closing weeks of the window and want a buy-back option written into any deal, with Championship and European clubs having shown interest in recent weeks. Football Insider is so far the only outlet carrying it, and no club has been named. Rowe spent last season on loan at the Ligue 2 side Annecy, in which V Sports hold a stake, making 32 appearances in all competitions and scoring once as the club finished seventh. Unai Emery has used him through pre-season: he started at left-back against BG Pathum United on August 4th and came off the bench in the defeat by Bayern Munich three days later, and Jacob Tanswell named him among the party that flew to Salzburg for the Super Cup, though he is not one of the 23 Villa registered with UEFA. An England youth international who came through the academy, he sits behind Matty Cash at right-back, with Kosta Nedeljković, the other senior option there, in talks over a loan to Rangers.
